What Is It?
The BTS X and XR series images are long range Bi-ocular systems. Unlike daytime binoculars, these units have only one thermal detector, but two eyepieces for comfort during extended viewing. With the ability to capture images and 3 sizes of interchangeable lenses, the BTS is a top of the line long-range range thermal system. Please note that this is just the imager itself, and that at least one lens is required.
Who Uses It?
The BTS is popular with wild life officials and conservation officers who are examining distant objects. It has also proven popular with dedicated sheep and elk hunters who are looking to scan at great distance to track and identify herds.
What Is It Designed For?
The BTS is built around the idea that thermal can highlight at distance, whether it is day or night. Using both eyes results in a much more comfortable view, and tripod mounting eliminates any shake.
What Is It Capable Of?
The three different lens sizes mean that the BTS can be built as a close range scanner, a mid-range binocular, or a long range spotting scope with all the benefits of thermal technology. One of the larger units, the 640x480 core means that the XR-Pro has the longest range of any night vision device we use.

Each of these high-performance thermal lenses allow rapid field exchange via an integral quick disconnect feature. - Extended Range Options: The BTS-X Pro model bi-ocular provides excellent long range viewing with sharp 320 x 240 native resolution in the viewfinder, and a 2x digital e-zoom step to 160 x 120.
- Enhanced Lens Surfaces: Raised rubber sleeves and captive low-profile lens caps help protect your lens investment as well as providing excellent grip/sensitivity.
- Faster Power & Battery Swap: A quick release hot-shoe literally makes access to AC power a "snap," and a latched battery door provides fast and easy access to exchange or recondition batteries.
