The Kestrel 3500 Series Pocket Wind Meter is a portable, full-service weather station capable of accurately measuring several environmental factors simultaneously. The Kestrel 3500 Series measures barometric pressure, pressure trends, altitude, relative humidity, heat stress index, dewpoint, wet bulb temperature, wind chill, current and average wind speed, maximum wind gust, and the temperature of air, water, and snow. Ideal for individuals who need reliable information on the weather without the need of logging data, the Kestrel 3500 Series is particularly useful to irrigation professionals and people working on construction sites who need to monitor changing weather conditions.
The 3500 Series has a night-vision preserving backlight option which helps users to sustain natural night vision. NV backlights are also much dimmer than a standard backlight, making it more difficult to detect with the naked eye in night operations.
The 3500 Series also offers a Delta T calculation (the spread between the wet bulb temperature and the dry bulb temperature) option, useful as a quick guide to determining acceptable agricultural spraying conditions.
